Since the announcement of the Switch-version (ported) World war z more than a year has passed and now the game finally has a release date. Only a few weeks remain …
Developer Saber Interactive has confirmed that World War Z will release on November 2, 2021, and pre-orders for the game will be available in all major retail stores. Digital copies are now available for pre-order at an average cost of $ 39.99, while the Deluxe Edition, which includes a lot of bonus content in the form of weapons and skins, costs more at $ 49.99.
The Switch version of World War Z was announced back in April last year along with the Game of the Year Edition. Then the CEO of Saber Interactive Matt Karch said IGNthat porting World War Z to Switch was the studio’s “most difficult thing to do”. This probably explains why we have been waiting for the immediate release of the Switch port for so long.
World War Z was first released in April 2019. Right now, the game is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. A major expansion, World War Z: Aftermath, will be released on September 19. If you have the main game, you will have to pay half the price. The DLC includes new maps, weapons, monsters, a first-person mode and a completely new melee system. What’s more, the next-gen version of World War Z: Aftermath supports 4K and 60 FPS.
Despite the fact that cross-platform communication is supported between all other platforms, a representative of Saber Interactive told the portal GamesRadar +that World War Z on Switch won’t have this feature.
