Should you shoot McKay or let him live in Far Cry 6?

In Far Cry 6’s main mission, titled The Deported, you have to make an important decision, what to do with Mckay. You can either shoot him or leave the guy alone and return to shore. Your choice does not change the game. It only changes the reward to be obtained at the end of the quest. There are two outcomes to this scenario, but there is a workaround, but it always ends up being one of the top two outcomes – it just makes you feel better.

Shoot McKay

If you want to shoot Mckay, you get wrist gear at the end of the missions. The equipment is called “Canadian, eh?” And has a unique effect called Poison Money. Every time you kill an enemy with poison you get pesos. This is a missing item. If you want to collect all you can, you have to shoot Mckay to get it. There is no other way to do it. Still, this armor isn’t tied to anything else, as far as trophies / achievements go, so overall it’s not that important. You are not excluded from missions or anything like that.

Let Mckay live

If you let Mckay live, you get 5,000 pesos for your problem at the end of the story mission, but in doing so, Yelena is angry with you. She’s extremely suspicious of you, of the way Mckay walks away from the best guerrillas in Libertad, but that doesn’t change the story. You’re not stuck in quests or anything. Mckay will never be seen again in history, so he’s pretty much dead in a way.

Shoot Mckay in the leg

This is purely for the sake of satisfaction. If you shoot Mckay in the leg, he’ll fall to the ground in absolute agony, but he’s still alive, and the result is you let him live to get the 5,000 pesos. If you want the pesos, just shoot him in the leg. You get the money and some satisfaction to boot. Overall, the choice is purely based on which reward you like the most. Both are pretty dull. Wrist gear is unique but depends entirely on your playstyle. If you never use poison it’s worthless, but it’s still technically a collectible, and pesos aren’t hard to acquire. in the game. The choice is yours. For more Far Cry 6 guides, ProGameGuides is here for you!
