What happened to the R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow?

Earlier this month, the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow went on sale in a weapon pack at the COD store. After many enthusiastically bought the new weapon, they took it out of the store and took it from everyone who had bought it. They have since received a refund for their purchase, but many have been wondering about the weapon and when it will return.

Fortunately, the crossbow will be back starting tomorrow, March 24. It can be purchased through the COD store or can be unlocked after completing an in-game challenge. To unlock it, you will need to earn three ‘One Shot, One Kill’ badges with weapons that have no accessories in 15 different matches.

If you’ve already started working on the challenge, don’t worry, that progress won’t go away. Treyarch clarified today in a tweet, “Players will retain any progress they have already made towards the unlock challenge.” Unfortunately for those who have already completed it, they will need to earn all three badges in one more match to unlock the crossbow.
