In New World, you will need to choose which faction you want to join. These factions are an important aspect of New World as they allow you to play with friends as well as complete faction missions. You might be wondering if you can switch factions in New World and the answer is yes. Unlike other MMOs, New World is not as restrictive, although there are still some downsides to changing factions. To change faction, you will need to go to your character’s Bio menu. On the left side of this page, you will see your faction’s banner. The edit option is at the bottom of this banner. Then you will be locked into the new faction for 120 days. After that, you can switch factions again as long as you pay the 100 Azoth again. The three factions of the game are Marauders, Syndicate, Covenant. Since you have more freedom in which faction you choose, this allows you to try out all three factions without having to build an army of characters. It also allows you to make sure that you and your friends are all on the same faction.
