If you’d like to know how to enable verification for your chat, Twitch posted an article on their blog (source). Creators can access this setting by doing the following actions: Go to your dashboard Then click on the Settings menu Now select Moderation Scroll down until you get to Chat verification and you just have to adjust the settings you want Moderators can access them via Chat, then click on “Manage moderation settings”. Email and / or phone number verification may be required for: All accounts People using chat for the first time People using chat with accounts less than 1 hour, 1 day, 2 days old, 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months People using the chat who have been following the channel for less than 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month or 3 months You can also decide to exempt VIPs, subscribers and moderators from verification. Please note that email and phone number checks will be disabled by default until you choose to enable them.
