p>While most achievements require skillful play, the Art of Rally achievements “Group B” and “Barely Holding Back” are completely opposite things. These two achievements require you to complete the race on fire and complete the race with a nearly completely destroyed car. This means you’ll have to beat your car pretty well before crossing the finish line without destroying it, but luckily you don’t have to win this race. In this Art of Rally guide, we’ll show you how to unlock two achievements at the same time, for a total of 55 Game Points.
How to unlock two achievements “Group B” and “Barely holding back”
While it takes bad play to unlock, Group B and Barely Holding Back are two of the most valuable achievements in Art of Rally. This is because it is very easy to overdo it and completely ruin your car, after which you will not be able to finish the race. You will need to be very careful to avoid this. To get started, set up a one-stage custom rally from the main menu. Select Finland as the location and Lasilla as the track. Most importantly, set the damage to severe. The complexity of the AI can be left alone.
When it comes to choosing a car, choose Fujin from group A. The task after the start of the race is to smash as many objects as possible and almost completely destroy your car. Make sure that the speed does not exceed 100 km / h, as if you hit something and exceed this speed, the machine will completely stop working and you will have to start all over again. Look for large boulders or rocks to crash into as they do quite a bit of damage. After all, your Fujin should be on fire in a few minutes.
As you may have guessed, this will be enough to get the achievement “Group B”, but your car is not considered “almost completely finished” yet. This will require a lot more failures. All in all, you’ll want to spend a good six to seven minutes driving around and hitting rocks at 50 km / h or so. Unfortunately, there is no indication that your machine is almost completely ready, and as a result, the achievement may take more than one attempt. It’s a little picky, but if your car is still up and running after six to seven minutes of constant destruction, you can probably safely go and finish the race.
Carefully cross the finish line, and if all goes well, you should earn both Group B and Barely Holding Back, two of the most frustrating achievements in Art of Rally, the new Game Pass add-on. The former isn’t so bad, but the latter proved to be a real headache for gamers due to the lack of signs of an almost complete population. So you might need a second try for this, but for the 35G, it’s definitely worth it.
